Since we have an open play environment, we require that all dogs be evaluated by Wagmore Kennels staff before attending daycare or boarding. During the evaluation we will introduce your dog to the facility and gradually have them meet a few dogs. Dogs who are friendly, social, generally healthy and demonstrate a good fit for the environment will be admitted. Most dogs pass with flying colors. They will then be free to come anytime for daycare or boarding. Dogs that are aggressive, bark excessively or suffer severe separation anxiety will not be admitted.
We recommend checking with your veterinarian to ensure that your pet's vaccinations are up to date and administered at least 2 weeks prior to boarding or attending daycare.
You must provide written proof of the following . .
Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
Dogs without proof of all of these vaccinations will not be allowed in the facility.
To reduce the risk of intestinal distress we strongly encourage you to bring your dog's own food when boarding. Bring enough for their stay in a plastic bin. If you choose to have us feed your dog we feed a high quality grain-free kibble and charge a $2.00/meal fee.
In order to maintain a flea-free facility, we flea check all animals upon admission. If fleas are found on your pet it will be given a flea bath ($15 charge). Please apply your own flea treatment (i.e. Frontline or Advantage) at least 48 hours before arrival to avoid this additional cost.
Puppies must be at least six months of age.
Dogs must be neutered or spayed.
Wagmore Kennels is usually a very rambunctious place and we suggest boarding elderly dogs and those with medical conditions with a veterinarian for obvious reasons.
